Are you a Speech-Language Pathologist working in Early Intervention?
Do you want to get started in Early Intervention, but the idea of a parent coaching model sounds scary?
Whether you are providing speech therapy in person or online, this webinar is for you!
In this webinar, a 48-year veteran SLP will share her tips and strategies that have led to her 90% dismissal rate for early intervention.
Wendy will demonstrate activities, strategies and therapy approaches that you will be able to apply immediately.
After this webinar, you will be able to:
- Write functional goals based on foundational communication skills.
- Implement a parent coaching model (in person or via telepractice).
- Explain how to use strategies to facilitate language through daily routines.
- Start addressing speech production for highly unintelligible kids.
This webinar will include live and video demonstrations so you will feel comfortable applying what you’ve learned both in person and in telepractice speech sessions.
Wendy was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and currently resides in Southern California. She has been a speech-language pathologist for the past 46 years. She received a Bachelor’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Bradley University and Master’s in Communication Disorders from Northern Illinois University. Her scope of practice has included diagnostics and treatment of phonological, language, fluency and voice disorders from birth to geriatrics. Most recently, her focus has been with infants and toddlers in early intervention; and working with school age children is her secondary focus. Wendy has a 90% dismissal rate for her early intervention kids by their 3rd birthday.
